God explains that is what makes Christianity different from other religions. It is only in Christianity that God is portrayed as a Father. Although there are faiths (i.e. Jews and Muslims) that believe that God is The Father , it is used in the context of being a Father because He is the Creator.
In Christianity, God the Father entails a filial relationship with God. Father is paternal – God is “Dad”.
This cause of disbelief is not just mine but others as well. We have not experienced the truth of the Christian relationship with God – Father and Son. Until we are certain that we are the child of God, not just in terms of our external relationship with Him but in the person we are, we will always doubt.
This Book, My Book of Faith was written so we can experience and live this truth, that each of us is a child of God.
